Easter Treat Bag Topper

Just made a quick goodie bag topper for some stuff I am making for Easter.

Did l tell you how much l love the pressent we got from the MIL & FIL for xams. We got a Keurig hubby and l had been looking for one for a very long time we are not ones for gadget but this was a must for us. Hubby drinks coffee/tea but l just drink tea the 8 year l have been here l never found a good kettle. so we would have to boil water on the stove top (way to long).

hubby makes his coffee and then right after him l can make a cuppa. The  water is always hot, so now instend of a cuppa just on sundays, now l am 4 a day chick. Would like it if they came out with teatly  tea K- cups but thats ok. l drinking bigelow english breakfast and hubby is on donut shop coffee, he dosent stop anywhere now to get his morning coffee now.  

Helping Out Haiti

We got so much help in 2008 with the tornado and the flood. So when i can help others i jump right in. So i found this page  on Esty where you can donate a handmade things or buy something and the money they raise will go to help the people out in Haiti.

People

people, they are just so amazing it just shocks me every day what people do for others.

our little town has had its downs this year but now we are on the up again. I work in the library in town. santa pops by every year. I was not sure if he was coming to the library this year as our library got hit by the June 8th 500 year flood we got 3 ft of water inside and lost alot. as you can see from the library web site http://www.newhartford.lib.ia.us/ . i cant post a photo on my blog this is a happy blog. but getting to why people are so nice we have had over 100+ people helping, donating there time and lots of money donted and we are back well ready for santa that is. santa's helper's came and droped off over 100 persents and snack bags for today and a lady came and droped of hats and gloves and stuff from around the usa and england for all the familys to take and i have had lots of people drop of cookies well over 200 of them for tonights party in the town park lots of fun i cant wait for that. ( N2S , cant eat them valerie).. That is why people are so very nice.

Stocking Filler

I thought this would make a cheap Stocking filler. I use to love doing this as a kid l think i will still have fun doing this with Emily. print on card stock and away you go.

Chocolate

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
(i am going to do this for gifts this yr)

1 Coffee Mug (microwave safe)
4 tablespoons plain flour (not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well
Add egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add chocolate chips (if using), vanilla, mix again.
Put mug in the microwave and cook for 3 min at 1000 watts.
Cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to share!)

spray the cup with "Pam" just in case to make sure it drop s out of the cup.
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
